Parenting is hard

As a parent or caregiver, you may be wondering:

  • Am I a bad parent? Have I damaged my kid?

  • What’s wrong with my child?

  • Why can’t I get through to my kid?

  • Why can’t my child tell me how they’re feeling? What am I doing wrong?

  • How can I have a stronger relationship with my child/children?

  • How can my partner and I negotiate differences in parenting?

Parenting is hard and being a child in this day-in-age is even harder.

Feeling stuck and at your wits ends can be frustrating and disempowering. Unsuccessfully attempting to stop the same patterns can feel like you’re going in circles.

You are not alone.

During our work together, we’ll explore who you are as an individual, not just the role you hold in your family, and figure out how you can be yourself without sacrificing your authenticity - both adults and children.

We’ll meet weekly in different configurations - sometimes the whole family will meet and at other times a single or multiple family members will meet - in order to deeply understand what’s causing disruptions and to identify and develop resources

Parent/Caregiver Support Group

Too often, when parents and caregivers struggle, they do so in isolation. This leads to shame, guilt, embarrassment and confusion.

During this 6-week experience, members can expect to:

  • Build a sense of community with other parents and caregivers

  • Explore the experiences that come with being a parent and/or caregiver (i.e. co-parenting, juggling multiple roles, etc.)

  • Share “best practices” and resources to care for self (i.e. self-care techniques, stress management, etc)

  • Learn how to navigate academic settings (i.e. communicating with teachers and school support staff, IEP meetings, etc.)
